How to Use Bible Tracker
Getting Started
- Sign in with your Google account
- Click "New Read Through" on the dashboard
- Choose a translation (ESV, NIV, etc.)
- Select a plan: Full Bible, Old Testament, New Testament, or Custom
- Click "Create Read Through"
Tracking Your Reading
Chapter-Level Tracking
- Click a chapter button to mark it as read (turns green with ✓)
- Click again to unmark
- Progress updates automatically
Verse-Level Tracking
- Click a chapter button to expand verse view
- Click individual verses to toggle them
- Partial chapters show ⋯ indicator
- Click chapter again to collapse
Editing Read Dates
- Click the ⋮ menu on read chapters
- Select "Edit Date" to backdate when you read it
- Useful for migrating from other tracking systems
Features
Activity Heatmap
Visit /stats to see your 365-day reading heatmap. Darker greens = more verses read that day.

Dark Mode
Toggle between light/dark themes in Settings or use the quick toggle in the navigation bar.
Share Read-Throughs
Make a read-through public to get a shareable link. Others can view your progress (read-only).
Multiple Translations
Track across 8 Bible translations: ESV, NIV, NKJV, KJV, NLT, NASB, CSB, and MSG.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I track multiple read-throughs?
Yes! Create as many read-throughs as you want (e.g., one for OT, one for NT, one for Psalms).
Does it track reading streaks?
Yes! Your dashboard shows current and longest reading streaks. Visit the stats page for detailed analytics.
Is my data private?
Yes, all read-throughs are private by default unless you choose to make one public for sharing.
Can I import from other tracking systems?
Use the "Edit Date" feature (⋮ menu) to backdate chapters when migrating your reading history.
How do I delete a read-through?
Visit the read-through page and click the "Delete" button at the bottom.
